I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
